AP2609 is braided from good quality asbestos yarns treated with rubber and graphite coated outside, each yarn reinforced by a thin inconel wire. It can be used for hand holes, manholes, lids as static seal. And it is suitable even under rough operating conditions like in steam hammers, reactors, steam valves etc. Also it is used for valves and slow running equipment under high temperature and pressure.
