Sintered Graphifed PTFE packing is braided from sintered PTFE pretreated with graphite impregnation. It has cross-sectional decsity, and some particles of grphite on the surface. It has very good thermal conductivity, high flexibility and stabiity of volume, extremely low coefficient of friction efficiency, gentle tratment of shafts. The application is for reciprocating and rotating shafts, valves, mixers and agitators, especially for services involving surface speeds and temperature higher than those mormally specifide for pure PTFE packings. AP2406 can be safely used in all chemical pump applications with the exception in some strong oxidizing agents.
